Hinduism and Modern Science
The distance between the earth and the sun, the concept of the multiverse, the creation of the world, the theory of relativity, the study of the nine planets, and whatnot! You all must be thinking that these are some discoveries and studies performed by our scientists in recent years, but all of this was discovered way before. Goswami Tulsidas, in the 15th century, mentioned in the Hanuman Chalisa (A devotional hymn for the Hindu God Shri Hanumat Ji (Hanuman Ji)), where it says that hanuman Ji swallowed the sun which is 15 crore Km away from earth (150 million Km), thinking of it as a fruit. How is that even possible, you all must be thinking, right? Not only this but the fact that the concept of a multiverse has also been an integral part of the Hindu religion.
There are infinitely many universes, and each universe has its Bhrama (The creator) Vishnu (The preserver) Shiva (The destroyer). A very famous picture shows lord Vishnu relaxing peacefully between those beautiful and endless universes they have created. The concept of a multiverse existed since the beginning of life! The fact that the earth is a sphere has been proven by Sir Galileo Galilei in the year 1609, In Hindi, geography is called “BHUGOL”, the word GOL means a sphere,
to add to this, the Varaha Avatar of Vishnu Ji shows the boar-like appearance on Vishnu Ji holding the earth on the top of their nose. This clearly shows that the earth is a sphere.
If one sits down to learn about Hinduism, their whole life is also not enough to fully learn about Hinduism.
Hinduism has been the most modern and scientific religion to have existed. It is also the oldest religion. The things that science claims to have discovered now are already mentioned in our Hindu “Granths” and books, our rishis, gods, and gurus were way more modern and knowledgeable then today’s scientists.
Nowadays scientists are very much considering and relating our Hindu scripters with their recent discoveries, the fact that Hindu scripters state so many things is enough to leave all the scientists in a state of confusion!
From all the above-written information, it’s very much clear that Hinduism has a very long and deeply rooted history, scientific logic has always been an integral part of our religion.
