Toxic Masculinity and the Youth-:
All updates about what famous misogynists or extremists are up to these days spread like a forest fire on social media platforms and receive millions of likes and comments which is fine but men like Andrew Tate or Walt Disney etc, are not worth the hype. I am not against them or something like that, this is just my personal opinion, according to me, these men are hypocrites and promote toxic masculinity, their preaching about how to be a man and how to treat women like an object are considered extremely important by the youth these days, especially by boys.
For example, Andrew Tate, thinks that treating women like some objects is masculine and everyone should do that, he thinks that all women are gold diggers and only love men for their money, according to him, it’s right for a man to rape a woman because he wants to do it and women should be submissive, he considers it obsolete for a woman to fly his plane while all he is doing is hiding in his den and commenting on other people’s religion, gender, way of living, decisions, and government. I guess this is all he can do, oh wait, showing off his wealth is also something he can do!
I mean, personally, there is no wrong in flaunting your wealth but shouting your misogynist and useless ideas on social media is not healthy, I mean it’s fine nobody can change the way he thinks but it is not required for him to tell this to everyone, he can keep it to himself, I am not going to lie but sometimes he is even right about somethings but his wrongs overshadow the rights. His opinion about how women are changing their bodies with surgeries and injections just to be beautiful, he said men will love women truly for how they are and not for their bodies, this in my view is correct, many other times he is correct about the way he thinks about the world but most of the time, all he is doing is either being an ugly misogynist or tweeting about how wonderful his cars are to teenagers.
Again, I would say that it’s fine to express your opinions, it’s your way of thinking, the problem arises when people also start following the same ideology, the youth that is following him will be influenced by his ideas either directly or indirectly, they will also have misogynistic thinking implanted in them at a tender age which will grow stronger as they grow up surrounded by such ideas. It will be normal for them to think of women as objects, it will be normal for them to treat other people like they are useless, issues like domestic violence will be normalized, and for them, being the dominating segment of society will become the only goal. They will start thinking that being toxic is cool. All of this is not healthy and needs to stop.
People live in a society as a whole, no matter what kind of work they do or what is their gender, everyone deserves respect and equal treatment. Trends and people promoting toxicity and fake masculinity should be brought down and a society where people believe in equality and treat others with respect should be established.
